Counselling sessions are available via Skype, FaceTime, WeChat or VSee from 10am - 7pm (UK times) on Monday-Friday.
All new clients begin with a 50 minute consultation session. During this consultation, Joanna helps the client to pinpoint the issues that they want to focus upon. The consultation session allows the therapist and the client to decide whether they wish to continue working together.
Most clients who continue with therapy tend to have sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Each counselling session lasts for 50 minutes, although couples often find it useful to book double-length sessions. Homework might sometimes be set at the end of each session to help the client to progress towards their goal, and the progress is discussed at the following session.
It is impossible to say in advance how many sessions a client will need, as this depends very much upon the client and upon the range of issues presented.
